Guinea pigs are adorable little critters that can be a lot of fun to have around the house. They’re also incredibly nutritious and delicious! Eating them is not an option, but they can eat tomatoes. Here’s how you know if your guinea pig can safely enjoy this tasty fruit:

1) Guinea Pigs Can’t Eat Whole Tomatoes- If your tomato has any seeds in it at all, then it will likely make your guinea pig sick and should be avoided altogether. The best thing to do is remove the seeds before feeding these fruits to your pet.

2) Guinea Pigs Cannot Eat Rotten or Spoiled Fruit- This one may sound obvious, but many people don’t think about it when they’re tempted to feed their pets unhealthy foods just because they like the taste. No matter how tempting it may be, any food that’s rotten or spoiled can’t be good for your guinea pig and should never touch his little whiskers! If you want to know if guinea pigs are allowed to eat tomatoes, then do not give them whole tomatoes with seeds in them and only offer ripe fruit. Feeding too many fruits and vegetables will result in diarrhea so make sure he doesn’t overindulge (anything more than once a day).
