Can dogs eat rice Krispie treats? Dogs can’t eat just anything and there are many foods that are toxic to them. One of these is chocolate, which is a well-known fact, but did you know that they can also be allergic to some fruits and vegetables?
While it may seem like a good idea to feed your pet any food scraps lying around the house, this could lead to vomiting or diarrhoea at best. At worst, it may cause an obstruction or internal bleeding!
The next thing you need to consider when feeding your dog is whether he has allergies. This will depend on what type of animal he belongs to.
For example, if he’s a cat then common allergens include chicken and fish; whereas if he’s a dog then common allergens include beef, corn and dairy.

Unfortunately, most animals are not designed to consume grains such as rice. They can cause digestive issues like vomiting or diarrhoea because of the high levels of carbohydrates in them – especially if your pet doesn’t have much access to fresh meaty bones for diet variety!
Finally, there is one more thing that you should consider: how well does your pet deal with sugar?
Although they may seem similar at first glance, cookies and pastries contain significantly higher amounts of sugars than what we might put into food for ourselves (which means they’re bad enough all on their own!). So before feeding anything too sugary to our four-legged friends it’s best to think.
