There’s a lot of competition among news organizations when it comes to viewership, so it’s no secret that Fox News has a bigger and stronger presence in the United States than any other news organization. It’s also no secret that Fox News is among the most trusted sources of news stories.
As Fox News and other news organizations have come under fire in recent years, the number of people who trust Fox News as a source of news stories has been shrinking. In fact, according to a recent survey by the Pew Research Center, Fox News lost its place as the nation’s top news organization. However, Fox News has managed to recover its standing. As of August of this year, it had the highest rating in all of the news organizations surveyed.
Fox News is, by all accounts, doing great. Their viewership has been steadily increasing since the summer of 2012, and in the last couple weeks Fox has even managed to bring in a few new people to their audience. The thing I love most about the new footage of Colberts speech is the way it demonstrates just how much the network has grown. The network was always a conservative propaganda outlet. But the past few years, it’s become just as overtly and blatantly partisan as any other news outlet in that it’s become a place where all sides of the politics can find a place to go.
